Stairwell window Chess
Redesign of the stained-glass in the stairwell. Old building in Berlin — Reinickendorf. Made of real table cathedral glass and ornamental glass based on historical models.
Size of the staircase windows shown: 100 × 130 cm
Our Chess staircase window is strongly dominated by graphics, with many geometric elements in black and white, and as a contrast a playful multicoloured bouquet of flowers, a classic motif of the Wilhelminian era.
To produce such a window, coloured handmade glass is cut into individual shapes, partially painted, fired and assembled with lead profiles to form a complete window picture.
A total of 10 edge panels and 1 large centre panel are produced as individual stained-glass panels.
The staircase window can be between 1 and 5 m² in size.
The composition can be adapted to your wishes in terms of size and colour. Optionally, you can receive a true-to-scale design in advance.
We would also be happy to advise you on your projects for the new production or restoration of staircase windows in old buildings in Berlin.
