Stained glass
A work of art is created by joining individual pieces of glass together. We work with a great deal of skill and experience in this area.
Individual pieces of glass are precisely cut, joined with lead profiles and soldered — a technique that is over 1000 years old! This made it possible to create larger glazed window openings for the first time. This is how the stained-glass windows of the great European cathedrals were created from the Middle Ages onwards. In the 19th century, with the Art and Crafts movement, Historicism, the Gründerzeit and finally at the turn of the century, with Art Nouveau, as well as in the post-war period, this craft became widespread and very popular.
Stained-glass windows have the unique ability to refract and reflect incident light in a fascinating way. No other art form can match the transparency and luminosity of sun-drenched glass windows. This is the special appeal of stained-glass.
We manufacture new stained-glass according to your individual wishes or undertake repairs and restorations of existing windows.
