Old building in Berlin Spandau

Restoration and reconstruction of all stained-glass and glass paintings in the stairwell windows

Berlin has a special treasure: Berlin's old buildings, which were built around the turn of the century, during the Wilhelmine and Art Nouveau periods, between 1870 and 1914. And we take care of an important detail: the stairwell windows of Berlin's old buildings.

The stained-glass in the stairwell windows dates back to the time when the building in Berlin-Spandau was built and is around 100 to 120 years old.

We were allowed to completely restore them in 2023.

The following measures were carried out:

  • Removal of all leaded glazing, insertion of emergency panelling
  • Restoration of the existing lead glazing
  • New production of all missing stained-glass, made of textured glass and stained-glass, true to the original
  • Reinstallation of the stained-glass in the reworked window sashes, fully filled in the putty bed

Comprehensive photographic and written documentation of the work was compiled.

We would also be happy to advise you on your projects, on the new production or restoration of staircase windows in old Berlin buildings.
