Does your family have a family coat of arms?
The family coat of arms demonstrates the affiliation to a family, often over generations. It contains symbols and colours that represent the name, profession or geographical origin of the first bearers of the coat of arms. There are certain heraldic elements and rules that must be observed.
The coat of arms disc can be used in the front door of a house, in a window or door, as a curtain disc or as a gift for a family celebration, a company anniversary or similar festive occasions.
We can produce such a coat of arms for you using traditional craftsmanship as stained-glass.
The individual work steps are
- Design work, outline and making templates
- Cutting the glass to size
- Application of the contours with black solder and contour brush.
- Application of the black solder coating, from which light edges, shading and damascening are worked out with the goose quill and stippling brush.
- Application of the glass enamel colors in various shades.
- The individual pieces of glass are assembled with lead profiles to form a window picture.
In principle, such stained-glass is still produced in the same way as in the Middle Ages, albeit with the use of modern tools and kilns.
The size and color of the stained glass can be adapted to your wishes. Optionally, you can receive a true-to-scale design in advance.
